Finding a New Home in Fife
Applying for Rented Accommodation
If you are looking for housing in Fife, Ochil View are member of the Fife Housing Register (FHR). We are members of the FHR with other partners so that applicants only need to complete the one application form to be considered for housing by all the FHR landlords. We prioritise applications using the FHR Common Assessment of Need.
To apply for housing in Fife you need to register with the FHR either online at www.fifehousingregister.org.uk or by downloading the application from the Fife Direct website. Please note that to register to log into the Fife Housing Register you will have to create an account on Fife Direct first at www.fifedirect.org.uk.
You can read our Allocation Policy in Corporate Information section.
Homeswap is an online mutual exchange system that is a free service to all Ochil View tenants who are considering looking for a swap.
If you would like to search for a home on Homeswap, then you need to go to www.fifedirect.org.uk , once registered you can access your account when it suits you and it will give you Fife wide access to other tenants looking to exchange. To access Homeswap you must be logged into Fife Direct. If you are not currently registered on Fife Direct, you must create your own Fife Direct Account first.
Don’t forget to add photographs and a description about your home. The better the advert looks, the more attractive it is to other would-be-swappers.
If you have difficulties registering or managing your Homseswap account, please contact Fife Council directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you do find another tenant to swap with, each of you will have to complete our Mutual Exchange Application Form. A copy of the form and a guide on applying for a mutual exchange is available to download below.
