Right to Buy
Some Ochil View tenants have the Right to Buy (RTB) their homes. Tenants who have a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy do not have the RTB. We will tell you at the beginning of your tenancy if you have the RTB, and on what terms. In summary, the rules are:
If your tenancy started after 1st March 2011:
Anyone who became a tenant for the first time after 1st March 2011 will not have the RTB. This includes people who became a tenant through succession or assignation after 1st March.

Tenants of New Supply Homes:
A tenant of a home that was let for the first time after 25th September 2008 will not have the RTB unless you moved in before 1st March 2011. If you moved in before 1st March 2011, you will have the Modernised RTB.
If you have been a tenant of a Tullibody LSVT (Former Scottish Homes) property since before the stock transfer:
Tullibody LSVT tenants who have lived in their current home since before the Stock Transfer (1998).
Persons becoming a tenant of such a property through Succession, Assignation or Allocation get the Modernised RTB, suspended until September 2012.
Other tenants
You will have the Modernised RTB. This right may be suspended until September 2012. Please ask us for more information.
