Buildings and Contents Insurance

Property owners must take out the Association's building insurance. The Association has arranged a block policy insurance and this has been negotiated at a very competitive premium rate. This is paid as part of your occupancy charge or billed to you six monthly as part of your factoring fee.

Owners will need to arrange their own insurance to cover the contents of their home, e.g., carpets, furniture, TV and decoration.

We would recommend that owners consider the contents insurance available from the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA). SFHA Diamond Insurance is a simple and straightforward policy which is tailored to the needs of those connected with Housing Associations.
