Applying for Rented Accommodation
You should complete an application form which you can obtain by telephoning, e-mailing or calling at our office. You can also download an application form from the following link. (link to pdf)
If you have medical grounds which you wish to be considered, then you will also have to complete an application for Medical Priority Housing.
You should complete and sign the form before you submit it to our office and once received it will be acknowledged within 2 working days.
Your application will be given a unique reference number which you will be advised of in the acknowledgement. You should always use this reference number when making enquiries about your application.
Providing we have all the information we require, we aim to assess your application and advise you of the outcome within 20 working days.
Your application will be assessed and prioritised according to the Association's points scheme. You can obtain full details of this in our allocation policy. (link to pdf)
When an applicant is being considered for a property, a home visit will be carried out to go over the content of the application form and confirm the points awarded.
An offer will be made to the applicant who has the most points for the size and type of house available.
You should also apply for housing to the local authority whose area you live in as Local Authorities nominate applicants for up to 50% of the Association's vacancies.
